Invitation for Department Advisory Committee Annual Meeting

Minutes of the Meeting of DAC held on 5th March 2018:

Dr. G. Mallikarjuna Rao welcomed all the members to the meeting and initiated the discussion on various accreditations, department activities and development.

Member of the committee were introduced to each other and then discussion was commenced immediately to fulfil the purpose.

Mr. M. Nagaraju, the alumni student of the department has suggested conducting workshops on latest technologies towards the development of core skills.

Sri. T. Someshwar Rao, General Manager, EGIS, India, has emphasized that the students should participate co-curricular activities.

All Stakeholders had a discussion on revised curriculum, Identification of different competencies of learners. Suggestions over a revised curriculum based on competencies indicators, and also reviewed department goals.

All the members suggested unanimously establishing Centre of excellences in the specialized area to improve the research facilities in the department.

All the survey reports were distributed to among committee members and asked for any modifications.

All the committee members agreed to the continuation of vision, mission, PEOs, POs, PSOs.

Dr. N. Srujana, who is an internal faculty of civil engineering department and convener of DAC, has recorded the minutes of the meeting.

The minutes of the meeting were also read out to all the participants and received their approval.

The meeting was concluded by the Dr. G. Mallikarjuna Rao, Head of Civil Engineering Department. He thanked all the participants for their participation and valuable suggestions.

He also requested everybody to participate in the upcoming meetings for the forthcoming year the date of which will be intimated very soon.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs):

PEO1 : Graduates will address the technical challenges as a professional by utilizing and enhancing their analytical skills in real world problems in civil engineering.
 PEO2 :  Graduates will adapt to rapidly changing environment in Design and execution of projects and to achieve a high level of technical expertise through lifelong learning.
PEO3 : Graduates will communicate their ideas to be effective in collaborating with industry and R & D centers and working as a team member/leader by upholding their responsibilities with excellence.
 PEO4 : Graduates will explore and apply multidisciplinary open-ended engineering activities considering the societal and economic impacts of engineering decisions, professional and ethical responsibilities of civil engineers.

Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs):

PSO1 : Prepare detailed project reports and execution of industrial projects.
PSO2 : Provide solutions for irrigation, drainage and rural water supply.
