AWS Educate

 

Vardhaman College of engineering is a member of Amazon educate. As cloud computing continues to grow in popularity, the need for employees with knowledge and skills in cloud computing has also grown. In response to this growing need, Amazon Web Services (AWS) started an initiative called AWS Educate to provide students and educators with the training and resources needed for cloud-related learning.

As a member of AWS Educate, the Vardhaman college of Engineering proudly provides its educators and students with twice as many AWS credits, demos, and special on-campus programs. Professors, teaching assistants, and educators receive access to AWS technology, open source content for their courses, training resources, and a large support community. Students receive credits for hands-on experience with AWS technology, training, content, career pathways, and the AWS Educate Job Board. A full list of benefits is below:

Oracle academy

 

 Oracle academy provides a detailed learning on the most on-demand language “JAVA”. This course of study engages students to give a tiring practice in JAVA platform. Students are introduced to object-oriented concepts, terminology, syntax, and the steps required to create basic Java programs using hands-on, engaging activities. Students will learn to program in 3-D animations, develop 2-D games and create Java applications. The entire duration of the course is 90 hours. Total course time includes instruction, self-study/homework, practices, projects, and assessment.

Students who wish to turn predominant in Java can start their Java programming experience in ORACLE ACADEMY and can learn how to create animations, games, and applications using fun and engaging tools. This course is a suitable foundational class for computer science majors and non-majors alike, and useful for the students who prepare for the AP Computer Science A exam. Under each topic, quizzes are provided to check the student understands capability

Here three major environments are fetched to the students namely:

GREENFOOT

In this platform, students are trained to write programs using

  • Methods,
  • Variables and Parameters Working with Source Code and Documentation
  • Developing and Testing an Application Using Randomization and Understanding Dot Notation Constructors Defining Methods

ALICE 3

Here the students are trained in concepts to

  • Add and Position Objects
  • Use Procedures and Arguments
  • Add Rotation and Randomization
  • Declare Procedures
  • Use Control Statements
  • Use Functions
  • Use the IF and WHILE Control Structures

ECLIPSE

Here the students are mastered in java concepts and they are trained in topics like

  • Defining Methods
  • Creating a World, Animating Actors, and Ending a Game
  • Understanding Abstraction
  • Using Loops, Variables, and Strings
  • Creating inventory management.

Once the students are given training, ORACLE ACADEMY conducts a final examination on java concepts. Pass percentage of the examination is 70%. Once the students crack the exams, the students are provided with the ORACLE COURSE CERTIFICATION on java.

UI Path

 

Vardhaman college of engineering signed an mou with UIPATH, a global automation company to expand automation talent pool in India.

Vardhaman college of Engineering (VCEH) today announced the signing off an Agreement with UiPath, the global software company that develops a platform for Robotic Process Automation (RPA). The agreement under UiPath Academic Alliance program will help VCEH ramp up educators with skills of the future and also offer courses related to Robotic Process Automation ( RPA ) to its students. VCEH will receive curriculum, course content, learning materials, regular educator trainings and software tools, to provide training to their students. UiPath will also provide program support in terms of examination papers and sample assignments.

Fourth Industrial revolution is disrupting and reshaping every industry. Technologies like artificial intelligence and automation are driving productivity and redefining future of work.  RPA is playing an instrumental role in helping humans automate mundane tasks and free up time for higher – level works. RPA is also anticipated to create new jobs requiring higher level cognitive thinking and creativity.

Speaking on the occasion of the MoU exchange, Prof.mallikarjuna babu ,CEO, VCEH mentioned that “Technologies in the Industry are changing rapidly. It is really a challenge to keep at pace with the fast paced evolving Technologies. However, we at VCEH  are looking at developing our Student’s at par with the Industrial requirements focusing on latest technologies like Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Automation. Our Students will be trained with technologies that are currently been used in the Industry – thus making them ‘Industry Ready’.”

Speaking on the occasion of Mou Exchange, Mr.Rajesh Nambiar ,director, UiPath Academic Alliance program. He mentioned that the program was launched in September 2018 with a vision to create an automated and fully-employed world. The Academic Alliance program empowers people from all walks of life – university students, educators and business professionals alike – to access automation training and leverage it in the workplace of the future. Under its Automation First initiative, the UiPath Academic Alliance is committed to serving more than one million students and one thousand schools in the next three years.
