The National Board of Accreditation (NBA), was initially established by the AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education) in the year 1994, in order to assess the qualitative competence of the programs offered by educational institutions in engineering and technology at UG and PG levels. The NBA conducts evaluation of programs of technical institutes on the basis of laid down norms like institutional missions and objectives, organization and governance, infrastructure facilities, quality of teaching and learning, curriculum design and review, support services (library, laboratory, instrumentation, computer facilities, etc.), which will help the graduates produced by the institutions as per industry requirements.
For Vardhaman College of Engineering, 6 UG programs, namely, B. Tech – ECE, B. Tech – EEE, B. Tech – ME, B. Tech – CSE, B. Tech – IT & B. Tech – CE, and 1 PG Programme – Master of Business Administration (MBA) are accredited by NBA. The B. Tech programs received the first accreditation in 2009, for the second time in 2015 under Tier II, and for the third time in 2018 under Tier I. One UG Program (Civil Engineering) received its accreditation under the Tier 1 category in 2021. One PG program (MBA) received the NBA accreditation in 2023.
