National Cadets Corps(NCC)

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the premier youth organization of India dedicated to developing discipline, leadership, character, and a spirit of service among young citizens. It aims to nurture qualities such as unity, selflessness, and patriotism while providing cadets exposure to military training, community service, and adventure activities.

The NCC unit at Vardhaman College of Engineering was established in 2022 under the 2(T) Battalion, Thirumalgiri. Since its inception, the unit has been actively shaping the holistic development of students through various training programs and national-level camps. The sanctioned intake of the unit is 160 cadets, distributed across courses as 54 + 54 + 52.

The NCC unit continues to motivate and empower students to become responsible citizens and future leaders of the nation.

Enrollment Procedure into NCC(Boys & Girls)- Army Wing

  • Students of First Year are Eligible for Enrollment
  • No of vacancies available in a year: 54
  • Students should Undergo Enrollment Physical test
  • No of Training parades in a Year: 40
  • Students should attend One Training camp and pass Exam to get “B”-Certificate after 2nd year
  • Students should attend One Training camp and pass Exam to get “C”-Certificate after 3rd year
  • Only ONE Supplementary Exam chance will be given for B or C Certificate, if failed in any
  • After Successful Completion of 2 training Camps and 2 Exams , NCC Cadets will get NCC- B and NCC-C Certificate
