Admissions – Intake, Eligibility & Fee Structure

Admissions at Vardhaman College of Engineering are conducted in accordance with the guidelines prescribed by the Government of Telangana and the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE). The institute follows a transparent and merit-based admission process for all its programs, ensuring equal opportunity for deserving candidates.

At Vardhaman College of Engineering, the following undergraduate programmes are offered in strict adherence to the norms and guidelines prescribed by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). All programmes are duly approved by AICTE and are permanently affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH).

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

At Vardhaman College of Engineering, admission to the B.Tech programme is offered in accordance with the guidelines of the Government of Telangana and the affiliating university. 

Eligibility Requirements

  • The candidate must have passed Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent examination from a recognized Board.
  • Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry (MPC) are compulsory subjects.
  • A minimum of 45% aggregate marks (40% for reserved categories) in the qualifying examination is required.
  • Admission is based on TGEAPCET / JEE Main rank as per the norms prescribed by the competent authority.
  • The candidate should have completed 17 years of age in the year of admission.

Admission Process

Admission into B.Tech program of Vardhaman College of Engineering is done through Common Entrance Test conducted by Telangana State Council of Higher Education, Hyderabad.

A - Category (Convener Quota)

70% of the seats are filled through:

  • TGEAPCET Ranks

B - Category (Management Quota)

15% of the seats are open to candidates from across India (no reservations) through:

  • IIT JEE Mains Ranks
  • TGEAPCET Ranks
  • Qualifying Marks in Intermediate (10+2) or Equivalent Examinations

15% of the seats are reserved for NRI / NRI Sponsored Candidates through:

  • Qualifying Marks in Intermediate (10+2) or Equivalent Examinations

Educational Qualification

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) or equivalent in a relevant discipline from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved categories) in the qualifying exam.

Nationality & Status

  • Indian nationals.
  • Candidates should satisfy the local/non-local status requirements for Telangana as per government norms.

TG PGECET (Telangana State Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test)

  • Conducted by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education/JNTU Hyderabad.
  • Most seats are filled on the basis of your PGECET rank.
  • Some seats may be reserved for candidates with a valid GATE score (GATE holders often get preference and may be eligible for scholarships/stipends).

GATE Score

  • Candidates with a valid GATE score (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) can apply and are often ranked higher in the counselling process.

  • Must satisfy state/local status eligibility, especially for state quota seats, as per government norms.

Entrance Exam & Selection Process

  • Admission to the MBA program is primarily based on the TGICET (Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test) score.
  • The exam is conducted by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE).
